The San Marino Rotary Club has assisted in re-chartering of the Rotaract Club of California State University Los Angeles, with 6 other local Rotary Clubs.  Each has pledged $500 as seed-money to allow the Rotaract Club to run meetings and do community projects without having to focus on fundraising.

​

The other host Rotary Clubs are Alhambra, East Los Angeles, Monterey Park, Montebello, San Gabriel Valley (SGV) New Gen, and San Gabriel.  The original Rotaract Club at Cal State LA, at the urging of PDG Steve Garrett, was on campus for 9 years, about 25 years ago.
